Résumé

In the rapidly evolving field of air traffic control, the need for innovative methods to improve safety and efficiency has never been greater. This paper presents a real-time method for detecting atypical aircraft approaches, a significant leap from traditional off-line methods. Our approach uses real-time data analysis and extends an existing off-line model to dynamically assess aircraft energy behaviour and trajectory during the critical approach and landing phases. Unlike its predecessors, our methodology provides instantaneous detection and resolution capabilities that are critical to ensure safety and deal with the expected growth in air traffic. By providing air traffic controllers with real-time insight into aircraft approach trajectories, our methodology aims to improve situational awareness and reduce the risk of approach-related incidents.
